Thomas B. Woods
Tom formed
Woods, Loeb & Company in 2005 after a lengthy association with Moison
Investment Company starting in 1990, where he served as a Partner starting
in 1997 advising high net worth individuals on their realty assets. In
this capacity, Tom managed the largest real estate transactions in Sonoma,
Santa Clara, and Alameda Counties in consecutive years. Prior to his
association with Moison, Tom also served as National Sales Marketing Manager
for MAI Basic Four, a Fortune 500 firm, during the 1980’s after taking
a startup computer company public in 1987. Tom entered the Institutional
Realty Investment industry in 1982, in property and asset management roles
prior to concentrating in acquisitions and dispositions.
Tom was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Marketing from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1982. In addition to completing ongoing professional development and executive management programs, Tom holds a California Real Estate Broker’s license and holds Series 22 and 63 Securities Licenses in California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado.
Tom resides in Menlo Park, California with his wife Leslie, and three children
Katie, Connor, and Kelly. They are active members of the Menlo Park
Presbyterian Church and active volunteers in the community, including the
Tri-County Apartment Association, the Housing Industry Foundation, the Tenant
In Common Association, and the Menlo Park/Atherton Education Foundation.
Peter K. Loeb, Jr.
Peter joined Tom in the formation of Woods, Loeb & Co after more than
twenty years’ experience on Wall Street and in Silicon Valley. During
the 1980’s, Peter worked in financial services in the U.S. and Europe
for Shearson Lehman Brothers and Italian investment bank Societa’ Partecipazioni
Finanziarie. He advised institutional investors on both debt and equity securities,
established a high net worth investor debt management program in New York,
and an international equities trading operation in Milan. As a technology
entrepreneur, Peter served twice as a venture-backed start-up CEO, and held
VP/GM positions at companies including Electronic Arts and SEGA. He was an
entrepreneur-in-residence at Benchmark Capital.
Peter earned a Master of Business Administration at Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts at Brown University. Peter holds a California Real Estate license and NASD Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.
Peter lives in Redwood City with his wife Hillary and their three children.
